One Bowl, 10 Minutes Chocolate Fondant


  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 50g butter/margarine for the dairy free version
  • 4 heaped tablespoons (70 g) sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup (70 g) self-raising flour.


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (important that the oven is hot!)

  2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter cubes in the microwave and mix to a smooth chocolate mixture (use a relatively large bowl that can hold all the ingredients).

  3. Add the sugar and a pinch of salt and mix. Add the flour and mix. Add one egg and mix, then add the second egg and mix.

  4. Grease a muffin tin/tray and pour the mixture into each cavity to two-thirds full.

  5. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, until the sides are baked, the inside is still moist and there is a baked crust on top.
