Home biscuits... Yes, that’s what I call them. They just smell like home to me! The best thing about them is that they are so easy to make, and you can choose any type of filling!
Ingredients:
- 330g plain flour
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 120g melted butter
- 125ml lukewarm water
- Sprinkle of salt
- Nutella/Lotus spread
Method:
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. In a large bowl, mix together the plain flour, brown sugar, baking powder, melted butter, lukewarm water, and a sprinkle of salt until a dough is formed.
-
Place half of the dough on a floured surface and roll it out into a thin rectangle. Spread an even layer of Nutella/Lotus spread over the rectangle using a spatula. Carefully roll the dough, making sure to not slice it all the way through.
-
Repeat the same process with the remaining dough.
-
Place both rolls on a parchment paper-lined baking tray. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. The biscuits should still feel a little soft and look quite pale when you take them out of the oven.
-
Remove the biscuits from the oven and slice them all the way through. Dust with powdered sugar and keep them in an airtight container for up to a week.
-
Wait for the biscuits to cool down a bit before enjoying their comforting and heavenly bites.
